More and more police officers and peace officers across Canada are wrestling with their moral and ethical conscience over the lawfulness of the employer mandated vaccine programs. As peace officers, each of them swears an oath. That oath includes a deep commitment and promise to uphold the laws of Canada.
The GoA vaccination policy has created a moral dilemma for the hundreds of Alberta Peace Officers who are now wrestling between honouring their oath of office or being coerced to consent to an unlawful mandate.
The MyAPSChoice Group hopes that we can lift the burden.
If you believe that:
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) Standards of Practice prohibit this policy on the basis of a minimum medical requirement of Informed Consent
The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms supersedes policy
The Canadian & Alberta Human Rights Act must be honoured
The Criminal Code of Canada must not be violated
The rules of Natural Justice apply to the Government of Alberta
An employee’s privacy is protected by law
Diversity and Inclusion shall be respected
Harassment and discrimination in the workplace is unacceptable
Consent cannot be coerced
An unlawful order is not enforceable
Vaccinations are not always safe
Vaccinations are not the sole solution to COVID19 safety
It is legally MyAPSChoice not theirs to make
Then…
You are not alone.
Thousands of peace officers and police officers across Canada are standing firm and saying NO to their employers who have vacated their freedom of choice. Over 60,000+ (number growing hourly) RCMP members and police / peace officer supporters have signed an open letter to the Commissioner of the RCMP. There are dozens of other law enforcement and front-line agencies doing the same.
